The Pension Protection Fund’s mission is to protect people with a pension when an employer becomes insolvent. It is one of the country’s largest pension providers with 295.000 members.

The Situation

At the core of the Pension Protection Fund’s operations is a suite of line-of-business applications, that manage the complex processes involved with assessing a pension fund and the health of its parent company. These aging applications did not meet evolving business requirements, new ways of working and technology standards.

The CloudSource Approach

CloudSource engaged with PPF’s digital and architecture teams to rapidly design, build and deploy upgraded business applications based on a core casework capability and built-on Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. Our team of Dynamics 365 certified consultants engaged with PPF business stakeholders to elicit business requirements, drive process re-design and outline new business processes.

The result is a modernised business application baseline that gives PPF a holistic view of its restructuring, insolvency, and scheme assessment workloads, incorporating document management, data collection, and the key capabilities to capture information on schemes, membership, funding and case submission validations.

Outcomes

The Pension Protection Fund and CloudSource established a close partnership that achieved the objectives of transitioning key applications to the cloud and adopting modern technology that meets both the needs of the business and provides a flexible, future-ready, and secure platform to host key business services.

Where automated Microsoft Dynamics 365 processes have replaced time-consuming and inefficient manual processes, this has resulted in reduced time taken to resolve queries, helping PPF in its objective to maintain the quality of the customer experience that it offers.

Improved visibility and access to data through Microsoft Dynamics 365 provided instant intelligence and relevant, comprehensive reporting, and improved processes that support legal and regulatory compliance.
